Weighing in at 10.6 pounds, this bookshelf speaker slots in perfectly into your cabinet at 13.3 x 7 x 8.4 inches. The speakers are supported by reinforced MDF to ensure that regardless of what you’re listening to there is no rattling that will cause your cabinets to shake.

The internals are equally stunning, boasting features such as Tractrix® horn technology, aluminum tweeters, and copper woofing. Culminating into a package that gives you crystal clear audio that sounds closer to being a live performance rather than pure studio sound.

Overview

The R-51M is not your standard bookcase stereo set. Using all the knowledge that Paul Wilbur Klipsch has put into his craft makes this entry-level speaker set a perfect starting point for people who demand more out of their stereos.

While it’s retro styling might not be for everyone, it is undeniable that there is more to this speaker set than what meets the eye. Made with premium materials and the latest in audio technology means that you can be assured that you are getting the best at the most affordable price for a speaker set of this quality.

Soundstage

While we like to provide you with samples and unboxing (as you can see in the section below!) we think it’s important to acknowledge the fact that not all sounds are going to sound the same on each speaker you’ll use. In the case of the Klipsch R-51M, they have a good range across all the styles of music that I prefer, which is pop-rock, alternative, and electronica.

The speakers definitely have more spark in them for more energetic music, while the likes of Martha from Tom Waits were far more subdued. For folks who are a little more melodic and melancholy, it will still give a great listening experience, but you might lose some subtleties which come with something gentler.
