The Klipsch R-51M is a dynamic speaker at an attractive price point that can multi-task between your playlists and any movies you may watch. While the stylish retro look might not be to everyone's tastes, this pair of speakers pack a punch at a price that doesn't make your eyes water. This style and price point is balanced beautifully by American audio pioneer Paul Wilbur Klipsch, who has brought all of his hall of fame knowledge into this speaker set. Making this kit a great entry point for those who are looking for a better audio experience with no gimmicks or fluff.
Weighing in at 10.6 pounds, this bookshelf speaker slots in perfectly into your cabinet at 13.3 x 7 x 8.4 inches. The speakers are supported by reinforced MDF to ensure that regardless of what you’re listening to there is no rattling that will cause your cabinets to shake.
The internals are equally stunning, boasting features such as Tractrix® horn technology, aluminum tweeters, and copper woofing. Culminating into a package that gives you crystal clear audio that sounds closer to being a live performance rather than pure studio sound.
The R-51M is not your standard bookcase stereo set. Using all the knowledge that Paul Wilbur Klipsch has put into his craft makes this entry-level speaker set a perfect starting point for people who demand more out of their stereos.
While it’s retro styling might not be for everyone, it is undeniable that there is more to this speaker set than what meets the eye. Made with premium materials and the latest in audio technology means that you can be assured that you are getting the best at the most affordable price for a speaker set of this quality.

While we like to provide you with samples and unboxing (as you can see in the section below!) we think it’s important to acknowledge the fact that not all sounds are going to sound the same on each speaker you’ll use. In the case of the Klipsch R-51M, they have a good range across all the styles of music that I prefer, which is pop-rock, alternative, and electronica.
The speakers definitely have more spark in them for more energetic music, while the likes of Martha from Tom Waits were far more subdued. For folks who are a little more melodic and melancholy, it will still give a great listening experience, but you might lose some subtleties which come with something gentler.
Don’t just take our word for it. We’ve compiled a list of videos that go through the features and some samples of what to expect from the Klipsch R-51M. Do you have a Klipsch R-51M? What do you think of it? Do you agree with our assessment? Let us know!
